Culver graduates the majority of their lineman this year. One of them, Mason Zachary. Culver also retires the number #64, in respect to the late Matt Zachary, Mason's older brother. Mason wore the number well. The Zachary boys helped give Culver a good name in 2a football and also helped them win their way into many State Title games.

Friday's game 9/25,'09, was webcasted
thanks to Lakeview honkersports website.

Sept.11, 09, Culver Loses to Heppner 40-7. Culver started out flat and never could get it going. Heppner came out ready to play with a tough team. Good job Heppner.
Let's go get Clatskanie next Friday Culver, you
guys are capable, NO GO DO IT!!!!

Sept. 4th, '09, Culver Loses 19-21 to Lost River in their 1st pres-season game. Culver's play was no match for Lost River's Officials. A great TD catch in the last seconds of the game called incomplete.

Picture
Culver started off slow in the first half of the game, but fired it up in
the second half. Many rushing yards logged into the books
by David Badillo, Dusty DeGrande and Miguel Gutierrez.
DeGrande scored 2 of Culver's 3 TD's. Austin Barany at QB was fun to watch. His passing was phenominal. Culver's receivers just had the 1st game jitters that kept them from capitalizing on many completions. Some good rushing by DeGrande helped pull the game out of the dumps.
On a broken play, QB Barany nearly fumbles the ball during a hand off and DeGrande grabs the ball out of Barany's hands and runs the ball in, breaking threw 3 sets of tacklers for a Touch Down. That play hepled fire up the Bulldogs who just kept it coming. Culver's Offensive line did their work like old faithful. We look forward to watching this year's
new game of Culver football. Go DOGS!!!!!

GO CULVER BULLDOGS!

Picture
Culver welcomes a new era of coaching for the bulldogs. Experienced football coaches like Brian Silbernagle, Wagonblast, and Pinkerton, have brought on some new guys into the mix and also started a new camp for the young kids as well as the Varsity team. Teaching the 6th, 7th, and 8th graders valuable skills and defensive and offensive plays ensures success in the coming years of Culver football. Good work coaches. We love all y'all. And a big thanks to the coaches wives and families for allowing them the time it takes to make a successful football program. We wish blessings on you all. GO BULLDOGS!!!!!

Culver chooses Brian Silbernagel as 2009, New Head Coach

From Defensive coordinator to Head Football Coach. Brian Silbernagel brings with him a wealth of knowlegde and hard work. He was a dedicated coach that helped take Culver to Championship games in the past, and we look forward to him helping lead our young men to another Championship game this year. He has already begun his efforts by getting the players to a team camp this summer where they can learn new skills, improve on their talents and meld together as a team, as a family, as they were last year and in years past. Coach "Sibs" as they call him, has been cutting, splitting and delivering firewood with his players to the tune of only $140.00/cord. Thanks to those who donated the logs, and those who helped in the efforts, Culver's football program WILL go to team camp, and they WILL NOT suffer from the cuts and losses to the School Sports Budget due to this lagging economy. After Culver's great "showing" at two championship games in the last two years, we are sure the community will rally around it's "Bulldogs" and help them in the "FIGHT." Thanks to the young men that have already been out their busting their backs over the firewood and helping out, your work will be rewarded come Football Season 2009! If you'd like to purchase some firewood that helps support Culver Football, call Coach Silbeernagel. You can get his contact number by calling Culver High School at 541-546-2251.

Cut Firewood and lift weights!

Success on the field this fall starts NOW! Get out there and get to the weights, combines and camps!

Oct. 24, 2008 Friday's win (38-14) against Scio makes Culver the fabulous 2008 Tri-River League Champions!!!!!!!

Scio faught hard but couldn't beat Culver's defense!

Culver's defense has been too much for it's opponants this year, and Scio got to feel the PAIN on Oct. 24th, '08 when Culver came to town. Culver's team played hard and played well. Scio was by far one of the toughest teams it has seen, so this win was an accomplishment for them. Good fight Scio. Good luck at State!

Matt Zachary Football Camp a success! With an open spot in the clouds, I'm sure he was watching from up above.

The weather was cold, but hearts were warm as we remembered the life and love of the game of Matt Zachary, one of Culver's own that was lost this last summer. Though his footprints are not seen in the dirt on the field, they are seen in the hearts of so many. Including the youngsters that honored Matt by playing the game of football. Thank You Matt Zachary for keeping a watchful eye on the field........ we know you are up there with the Big Man watching.......... we hope to do you proud.............................

Culver's Community is looking for it's football team to bring home another State Championship in 2008. Go Bulldogs!

Culver's game against Kennedy was spectacular. The boys were ON IT again. The whole team should be proud. They played together and left it all out there on the field. Good Win Bulldogs!

Lewis to DeGrande to pick up the first down

Culver came to play against Salem Academy on Friday, Oct. 3rd, 2008. It was Culver's Homecoming and did they ever bring HOME a win. By the end of the first half it was Culver 40 and Salem Academy 0. Here is a pass from Quarterback Nevin Lewis to Full Back Dusty DeGrande. DeGrande scored the first Tuoch down of the game during Culver's very first offensive possesion of the game. It all went steam rolling from there.

Culver Oregon Bulldogs Looking to repeat State Champion Title 2008/2009 Season

With Coach Davis at the helm, the Culver Bulldogs are looking to secure their spot in the play-offs with another win this friday night. Culver's talent runs deep and is lead by quarterback, Nevin Lewis. Lewis is a stand out that's for sure, but let's not forget the help of fullback, Austin Alley and the help of the Culver Bulldog's O-line. Those guys are BRUTAL!!! There are many great players to mention including new comer to the team and only a sophomore, Dusty DeGrande, who has been a "nice addition," according to coach Davis helping out on Defense, earning defensive player of the game in his first game with Culver as well as scoring some on offense. The defense of the Bulldogs is what is winning games for Culver this year. Culver defense has been the best in it's division thus far. Their opponants ability to score is swarted by the intensity and hard hits of the Culver Bulldogs Defense. Mason Zachery, Logan Tuttle, Garret Mortsen, Devin Osment, and Nick Barany are the "big boys" leading the charge. Line backers Jack Pratt, Ben (Can Take A Hit) Fisher, Austin Alley, and Dusty DeGrande help hold their opponants to minimal scoring, and when someone gets through these guys, it's "LIGHTS OUT" when Nevin Lewis runs them down with a furry. Nevin's speed and agility are remarkable, and he holds nothing back when he hits these guys.

Culver's Blocking is Phenominal.

Credit goes to the whole team at Culver High. With out everyone showing up and giving 100% at every practice, they wouldn't be having such success. You just can't go wrong with blocks like this.

Defense!!! Defense!! Devin Osment, Dusty DeGrande, Jack Pratt, Ben Fisher, Logan Tuttle, Nick Barany, Mason Zachery, Josh "Sweed" Hanselhaven, and Culver's Coaching Staff are TOUGH TO BEAT!!!

Stopping the first down is a skill that Culver STRIVES for.

One Armed Tackle!!! What a Freaken Stallion!!!

Culver's defense makes huge plays including this one armed tackle made by Garrett Mauretson.

Austin "the work horse" Alley is soooo hard to take down!

Leading Culver's offense for rushing yards, Austin gets great blocks up front by the o-line and Dusty DeGrande seems to help make holes bigger than your mother's hind end that Austin, with his patience, slips right through to pick up big yardage.

Don't think Culver's Passing game can't hurt.............. Nevin Lewis has accuracy and judgement that excels.....

With a rush coming Nevin throws a beauty to Ben "can take a hit" Fisher to pick up another Culver first down.

How many guys does it take to get Austin Alley Down?

So far, Austin Alley has broken tackles, juked and dove into the endzone more times than your little brother picked his nose in the first grade.
